Happy Thanksgiving

Had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Went to my parents on Turkey Day and ate myself into a coma and then we spent the next day in Placerville for the tree lighting ceremony, bought some chocolate truffles (my favorite) and then went out for pizza!

Happy Halloween

We went to Nat and Eric's house for their annual laser show and it was fantastic. They had hot chocolate and cookies to enjoy while we sat back and watched the show. LeeAnn and Vanessa came as twins :)

Boggie Bash!

It was Brian's Family Reunion this weekend and we had a lot of fun. Bruce cooked lamb (family reunion tradition), played water balloon toss, and also celebrated Uncle Johnny's 99 birthday!

Celebration!

Celebrated Grammy's birthday this weekend. It was a lot of fun to be with everyone. I made her slippers that she really liked and pretty much nothing else mattered after she received her iPad. It took about 20 minutes for her to be able to talk after her excitement.

California State Fair

Went to the State Fair yesterday and it was a lot of fun - ate a lot of fried food, walked down the midway lit up with lights, and saw all the great county exhibits. LOVE LOVE LOVE the Fair.

Brian kept saying that the Big Foot at the Humboldt County exhibit was my dad's twin :(
Met up with Grandpa Bruce and Grandma Lori in the wine and beer section of the Fair.

After we met up with Bruce and Lori we ran into my brother Mark and his girlfriend Ashley.

This is Brian and I in the animation exhibit. It was about the beginning of animation and what is to come. Of course I loved the Disney section.

After eating more fried food we stood in the long line for the Demolition Derby (which we see every year) and met up with LeeAnn and Nat and their families.

Vanessa and Grampy watching cars smash into each other.

Vanessa was just barely holding on. We are still at the Derby but she tried to stay awake for the whole thing. How do you not love something when you walk out and you find cars like this?

After the Derby we walked around the buildings where you got sales people basically trying to sell you crap and you end up buying stuff anyways (though there was this cute olive oil bottle with a rooster painted on it that I really wanted and I walked away from it). After that we walked around the Midway and saw all the lit-up rides and people eating yummy funnel cakes. We really enjoyed our time at the fair this year.
