Memorial Day Weekend

Brian and I went to Mono Lake and Bodie this weekend while Vanessa stayed with her grandparents. First day we went to Mono Lake and I had to taste the water - it was disgusting. Very salty and tasted like fish and if you know me, you know I hate all sea-type food. The next day we headed off to Bodie. The morning started with some heavy snow. We figured it was in the mid 20's during the day at Bodie. I didn't know snow could blow that way. Brrrrrr It was quite the adventure. We stayed in Bridgeport - the cutest little town ever. And when I say little I really mean little. We talked to the bubbliest waitress at one of the bars and she said she had to drive 90 minutes just to get her nails done! I was like "WHAT?!" But you can tell the people that live there love their little town. We drove home and it was chilly, too. Is this really almost June? Anyway, it was a great weekend and hope everyone had a great one.

Lots Going On

It was a busy, but fun, weekend. Saturday morning started off with taking Vanessa and Lola to the park. Then headed over to LeeAnn's to see Mari off to prom. The evening ended with a lot of Brian's old racing buddies getting together at Josh's house. Vanessa had a lot of kids to play with given all the guys now have children of their own. Time sure goes by fast!
